Jamie Foxx Opens Up About His Hospitalization and Road to Recovery
In a heartfelt Instagram video, actor and singer Jamie Foxx shared his emotional journey of hospitalization earlier this year. The 55-year-old star was admitted to the hospital on April 2023, but the exact reason remained undisclosed. However, his daughter Corinne mentioned that he had experienced a “medical complication”.
In the video, Foxx expressed his gratitude towards his sister Deidra Dixon, his daughter, and the medical professionals who played a vital role in “saving” his life during those trying times.

He debunked false rumors about his condition, clarifying that he was not blind or paralyzed. “By being quiet, sometimes things get out of hand. … Some people said I was blind, but as you can see the eyes are working, the eyes are working just fine. Said I was paralyzed, I’m not paralyzed, but I did go through – I went to hell and back,” stated Foxx.
