“Ain’t No Way They’ll Let Him Get a Yard” : HoFer Shannon Sharpe Takes a Wild Swing At Skip Bayless on Travis Kelce’s Podcast

Shannon Sharpe is a comedic legend in the NFL community. The way he can make people laugh with just simple words is impressive. Added to that, he is the master of trash-talking, so everyone is wary of getting on the wrong side of him. Skip Bayless found that out the hard way when Sharpe took a rather amusing and harsh swing at him recently.

The former NFL tight end has established himself as one of the prime NFL analysts in the community right now. His show ‘Undisputed’, which he co-hosts with Bayless, has become one of the best in the business. However, he does have some issues with Bayless, which has driven them apart in the past. This latest blow by Sharpe seems like he is still hurt about the past.

Shannon Sharpe thinks Skip Bayless cannot rush for a yard in the NFL

On the show ‘The New Heights’, Travis Kelce asked the Hall of Famer if he thinks Bayless can rush for a yard in the NFL. The answer was pretty straightforward, “No”. This caused the Kelce brothers to go into a hysterical fit of laughter. Sharpe reasoned as to why he thought that way, but his response only managed to amuse the Kelce brothers even more.

“I’m not saying because he’s average. Ain’t no way they’re gonna let him get a yard,” Sharpe explains. “They gonna go out of their way. And I’m not so sure the offensive line is going to block for him to get that yard. That’s what’s going to happen with that”. To be fair to Sharpe, Bayless isn’t very well-liked by players, given his scathing remarks about most of them. They will want to take him down.

Sharpe could potentially leave Bayless after multiple fights between them

The friction between Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless is no secret. Things got very tense between them during the Damar Hamlin incident, wherein Bayless seemed more concerned about the scheduling of games, rather than Hamlin’s well-being. Though he clarified his position, Sharpe was not happy and even refused to come to the show the next day.

Later, Bayless took things further, after he humiliated Sharpe on air in a desperate attempt to defend his favorite NFL player Tom Brady’s abysmal performance. Sharpe was not happy at all that Bayless went personal with his attacks, and there were rumors of him leaving the show. While that hasn’t happened yet, it is still a possibility in the future. Will Sharpe ditch Bayless and go solo anytime soon?
