Amid Aaron Rodgers-A.J Hawk Fallout Reports, Jets QB Gets Slammed for “Super Bowl Trophy Looking Lonely” Comment

Aaron Rodgers making his way into the Jets locker room after putting an end to a long-time trade drama provided a sigh of relief to may football fans. The Packers management and Jets recently agreed on terms, and the trade was made public on Monday. After the trade news was confirmed, the quarterback shared a throwback post on his Instagram, reviving those glorious days in Green Bay and iconic moments alongside his best teammates. In the picture, former linebacker A. J. Hawk was nowhere to be seen, which eventually bred rumors of a strained relationship between the duo.

Hawk and Rodgers shared a great friendship over the past 10 years and happened to catch headlines frequently. They reunited on the Pat McAfee show during the 2022 season, when A-Rod’s performance became a subject of national discussion. Meanwhile, Hawk’s omission from the post and the quarterback making a lonely remark about the Lombardi Trophy have sparked a new debate online.

Is Aaron Rodgers no longer friends with A. J. Hawk

This narrative was initially put forward by Pat McAfee on his talk show, inviting the former NFL superstar. He poked the veteran to comment on this narrative as if something big had happened and Rodgers had intentionally disowned him. Hawk, who kept his cool, gave a practical answer.

“It was good to see him funny to see him walk into the facility for the first time with the Jets hoodie. But no, like Connor’s advice and how he’s doing, and I’m gonna have to disown him as a friend if he didn’t acknowledge me on Instagram, right?” he asked McAfee in the latest episode.

The analyst mentioned that it has now become a trend in the NFL world. If somebody erases a particular entity from their Instagram, then it means the rupture is real. Anyway, the veteran whisked off from making unnecessary comments and proceeded with his thoughts about Rodgers’ arrival at the Jets facility for the first time.

“I’m sure he’s probably it’s a weird feeling for him. He’s been so many years in the same facility, the same place obviously different coaching staffs over the time.” Hawk added to his explanation. Meanwhile, the signal-caller also made headlines after he said the Super Bowl trophy was looking lonely and intended to win a championship title. Fans didn’t take this comment on a positive note; instead, they went out to troll him online.

Rodgers posts a farewell note for his ex-teammates

It has been over 15 years since the Packers’ management pulled off a trade of this intensity. Since 2008, A-Rod has remained the face of this franchise and changed its entire landscape. Although he is in the final phase of his career, the Jets will now become a prime-time subject in the NFL fraternity.

On Wednesday, he visited the Jets facility and met the top brass, including owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, and head coach Robert Saleh, per FOX News.

Moreover, the 39-year-old also shared glimpses of his past achievements on social media. They had the iconic Super Bowl winning moment and the MVP titles alongside his closest teammates like Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, David Bakhtiari, and a lot more.
