Chris Bassitt or Tom Brady: Fans Compare Blue Jays’ Star Pitcher to 7x Super Bowl Hero After He Goes on a Tablet Breaking Spree Mid-Game

A lot of professional athletes hope they can recreate the kind of success NFL legend Tom Brady has enjoyed. After all, becoming the GOAT, and winning 7 Super Bowls is no mean feat. However, there are those who are inspired by less noteworthy, but as popular, events that adorn TB12’s illustrious career. One such incident is his tablet-breaking rampage, a move that Blue Jays’ pitcher Chris Bassitt has adopted.

Bassitt’s frustration came after the umpire made a call that he did not agree with at all. While pitching to the Mariners’ Jarred Kellic, Bassitt threw an inside fastball which the umpire did not call a strike on. Two pitches later, Kellic got to walk, and soon after, Cal Raleigh walked too. When Bassitt got to the dugout and reviewed the pitch in question, he realized the umpire’s mistake and immediately lost his cool.

Fans are comparing Bassitt’s temper tantrum to Brady’s tablet smash debacle

Bassitt’s enraged reaction to the umpire’s call spread through social media like wildfire. Though the Blue Jays did end up winning the game, Bassitt’s tablet pitch remained the highlight of the night. Even fans thought of Brady‘s tablet tantrum first as soon as Bassitt’s attempt started making the rounds on Twitter. Though, there are a lot of jokes going around as well.

Brady made headlines in 2022 when he lost his cool during a game against the New Orleans Saints. Though, that was not the first time Brady used his howitzer of an arm on a tablet. He had a similar outbreak of temper back in 2021, and surprisingly it was against the Saints as well. Though it must be said, Bassitt may need to take some lessons from Brady to improve his tablet-throwing skills.

Tom Brady is way past his tablet-throwing days as he enjoys his retirement life

While Bassitt has many more opportunities to improve his tablet pitching skill, those days are far gone for the NFL legend. The 7x Super Bowl winner is cruising through his retirement life as he preps to become the lead analyst for Fox Sports heading into this season. That, and his evergrowing BRADY brand is certainly keeping him busy. However, not busy enough to miss out on spending time with loved ones.

Ever since his retirement, Brady has been spending a lot of time with his friends and family. Especially his children, with whom he is often seen having fun with. Brady and Vivian, have been engaging in a lot of cute father-daughter moments, most of which include viral “science experiments”, much to her delight.  It definitely doesn’t look like another tablet is in any danger from Brady.
