“Fastest Bronco Since O.J Simpson’s Car”: Riley Moss’ Addition to Denver’s Roster Ignites Meme Fest on Twitter
Iowa Hawkeyes’ cornerback Riley Moss has finally made it into the NFL. Thanks to the Denver Broncos and their #83 pick, Moss will be able to live the dream he has been having for quite a while now. Though, it seems his speed on the field has not just impressed the scouts, but has also given rise to some rather interesting memes and jokes about him.
Riley Moss set some good stats at this year’s Combine. Especially in the 40-yard dash, where he recorded an amazing 4.45 seconds. He is also a prolific player on the field and holds the distinction of being one of only 4 players in the Hawkeyes’ history to have 3 interception return touchdowns. However, it seems his quick feet have garnered attention from some very funny people. Or at least, some think they are funny.
Jarrett Bailey calls Riley Moss the fastest “white Bronco” since O.J.’s car chase
Many NFL fans would remember the iconic car chase that O.J. Simpson led the police. It was very different from an ordinary car chase, in that O.J. wasn’t driving really fast. What he was driving, is the focal point here, and it was a white Ford Bronco. Ring any bells? It is this comparison that USA Today’s Jarrett Bailey is trying to make. It seems no white player in the Broncos roster was or is faster than the car.

The amount of time I’ve spent with Mike has definitely influenced my sarcasm and humor and cranked it up to an 11.

Riley Moss may be quick, but it is definitely not his only trait. The massive defensive back will undoubtedly shore up the Broncos‘ defense. Not that they need a lot of help in that aspect. However, the team must have seen something in him, to trade up for a chance to get him. This means Moss now has a lot of pressure on him to deliver. Will he help the Broncos make a comeback this season?
