Aaron Rodgers leaving Green Bay after almost two decades was the biggest story this offseason. While his exit from the Packers’ unit to join the Jets did disappoint many Green Bay admirers, a few were also pleased with the fact that young Jordan Love will now get to show his prowess on the big stage. However, even before beginning his QB1 duties, Love’s insulting Father’s Day comments about the Bears have already caused on outrage on social media.

Just weeks after Aaron Rodgers’ trade was finalized, Jordan decided to get into the act by taking a dig at the Chicago Bears. He referred to himself as the father of the Bears’ fanbase which, as one can expect, enraged not only Chicago but even a few Packers fans who reckon that Jordan first needs to churn out good numbers, before taking a savage dig like this.
Jordan Love gets blasted for trolling Bears fans on Father’s Day
The Bears vs Packers rivalry goes back a long way. In fact, Brett Favre’s arrival at Green Bay really made life incredibly tough for the Chicago fans. To make matters worse, Favre’s 23-13 win-loss record against Chicago was overtaken by Aaron Rodgers who ended his Green Bay stint with a 24-5 record against the Bears.
Obviously, Jordan Love, the new QB1 for the Packers, is also expected to carry the ‘Bears Hate’ forward. However, he might have jumped the gun in a quest to do so. In a video which has gone crazy viral on Twitter, Jordan was heard saying, “Happy Father’s Day to all the Bears fans out there.”
As one can expect, innumerable fans lashed out at Jordan, accusing him of acting like someone who has single-handedly destroyed Chicago, when the reality is that he hasn’t done anything substantial on the highest level. While some called him dumb for his crude comments, many called him out for phrasing his Father’s Day wish in a questionable manner.

So we Bears fans are his dad? I’m confused.

@jordan3love this makes us your daddy… you realize that right? Utah State obviously didn’t require an entry level English class

Jordan Love is yet to prove himself on the big stage
The 2018 New Mexico Bowl MVP was roped in by the Green Bay Packers back in 2020. Even then, Love’s inclusion had raised quite a few eyebrows as the Packers had traded a first round and a fourth round pick to the Dolphins in order to move up and get Jordan, despite already having Aaron Rodgers in the unit.
After warming the benches for the entire 2020 season, Jordan made his first start in Green and Gold in 2021 against the Chiefs. He showed glimpses of his class in the contest but didn’t get many chances after that. Then during the 2022 season, Jordan replaced Aaron against the Eagles and while his unit ended up on the wrong side, he did impress a lot of people by completing 10 of his 17 passes for 113 yards.
All this suggests that while Jordan is being looked upon as a promising young talent, he still has to guide his side to many impressive wins, in order to reverse the public perception about his Father’s Day comments.
