Creators Express Major Concerns With Colin Kaepernick’s AI Model Startup That Raised $4 Million

After Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan, another veteran QB has reached out to the Jets to get a chance to be a part of the NFL. Jets, who lost the services of Aaron Rodgers in their very first game, are yet to perform that well with Zach Wilson at the helm of affairs. Hence, Colin Kaepernick has urged the Jets to add him to their practice squad.

Colin, who has been away from the top level action for over half a decade, penned a detailed letter to the Jets, requesting them to give him one more chance. The former 49ers star revealed that he is in great shape and has been working out constantly for years now.

Colin Kaepernick Wants to Join the Jets

Colin Kaepernick has expressed his desire to join the New York Jets, not as a starting quarterback but as a practice squad member. This came to light when rapper J. Cole shared a letter from Kaepernick on Instagram. Per Bleacher Report, in the letter, Kaepernick humbly requested the opportunity to lead the practice squad and outlined his motivations.

In the letter, Kaepernick conveyed his deep gratitude for the chance to help prepare the Jets’ defense. He wrote, “I would be honored and extremely grateful for the opportunity to come in and lead the practice squad. I would do this with the sole mission of getting your defense ready each week. If I were able to fill this role, I believe this allows for multiple things,” as he went on to explain in depth why he is the “perfect fit.”

Kaepernick clarified that he has remained in top shape, “Unlike the many veteran QBs that have been named in the media, I’ve never retired or stopped training.”  He even called himself a “risk-free contingency plan.” To further bolster his case, Kaepernick listed some notable names such as Jim Harbaugh, Chip Kelly, John Harbaugh, and Mark Davis as references who could vouch for his capabilities.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Kaepernick has expressed interest in joining the Jets. Previously, he had pitched the franchise for the same through his agents. Now, at a time when New York is facing challenges, Kaepernick’s interest has resurfaced. Even his longtime girlfriend, Nessa Diab, had recently supported his aspirations by posting a story on Instagram saying, “Kaepernick always ready! Jets. What up!”

Though for now, Colin Kaepernick has formally requested a position on the New York Jets’ practice squad. He emphasized his commitment to helping the team and serving as a reliable “backup” option. But the question remains: Will the Jets consider him this time, especially when they recently turned down Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan who made similar requests?

Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan Also Reached Out to the Jets

The New York Jets face a challenging situation due to Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles tear. With Wilson at the helm “for now,” it has left them without an obvious substitution for the veteran quarterback. But, intriguingly, veteran QBs like Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan have expressed their interest in joining the Jets. But a tweet by Ari Meirov shows that the team is content with Zach Wilson as their starting QB.

However, fans couldn’t help but speculate about their consideration by the team. After all, Matt Ryan is known for leading the Atlanta Falcons to the 2016 Super Bowl. He is currently working as an NFL analyst at CBS Sports and hasn’t officially retired. Both, Wentz and Ryan have had their share of high points in their NFL careers due to which, many believe they are suitable candidates for the Jets. However, at this point, it doesn’t seem like Matt, Carson, or even Colin is being considered by New York as a potential replacement.
