Back in 2018, while speaking to reporters on the streets of New York, the former wide receiver had pointed out a hidden talent in TB12 that makes him a great party guy.

Julian Edelman once revealed his favorite drinking buddy between Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski

In 2018, while Edelman was still associated with the Patriots, he attended an event in New York City to promote his book, “Relentless: A Memoir”. On his way back home, reporters gathered by his car to ask him a variety of questions, including a few about his personal life.

One of them asked him to pick between Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski as a better drinking buddy. After giving it some thought, Edelman said that it was none other than “Tom”. Indeed, the former quarterback is a maverick when it comes to chugging beer, he never likes to go second.

As it turns out, Edelman had once also revealed a funny contest him and Brady had and how TB12 outlasted him effortlessly. He had like 22 or 23 chugs that night, but Brady was still awake and full of energy. Tampa Tom and the former wideout played for 10 seasons together and won three championships for the Patriots. Statistically, the duo connected for 6,311 receiving yards, and scored 41 touchdowns in 127 career games. Edelman was one of the most promising receivers in the postseason, performing at the highest levels until the end of his career.

Rob Gronkowski verified Edelman’s claims

Just like the former wide receiver, Gronk also believes the only person who can beat him at parties is Brady. He has a different vibe and never opens up in public. The former tight end once spoke about the hidden talents of his quarterback in an interview a couple of years ago.

“Brady is one of the best beer pounders in the world,” Gronk had said, per TMZ. “He was on a late show one time, and he pounded a beer in literally half a second. So when he wants to bring it, he can bring it, man. He’s got some talents that are pretty hidden,” he had added. Looking at all this, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that TB12 surely deserves the title of “Beer Chugging Champion.”
