As they get ready to host the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football this week, the Indianapolis Colts move closer to the first of their remaining three games.

The Colts’ practice status report did not change from Thursday to Friday; two starters continued to be inactive, while two additional role players put in another full day of work. Kenny Moore, one of the non-participants, hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 12’s game against the Steelers.

In the fourth quarter of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kenny Moore collided with a Steelers wide receiver. Moore was able to leave the field but his shin injury made him ineligible.

Kenny Moore II Injury Update

Kenny Moore, a defensive back, has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Chargers and might not play again this year. Moore missed Indy’s first practise of the week on Thursday, according to the Colts.

Since he sustained the injury, Moore hasn’t participated in any practises. It was anticipated that Kenny would need a few weeks to recover given that he was using a scooter and wearing a boot during the week following the injury. Now that Indianapolis is 4-9-1 with three games left, it appears that Moore won’t play again until the following season.

The Indianapolis Colts have already ruled out star players Shaquille Leonard and Jonathan Taylor for the season, so Moore wasn’t the only one on the team’s injury report. Tight end Kylen Granson also did not practice on Thursday due to an ankle injury.

The Colts are currently on a four-game losing streak and will be eliminated from the playoff race if they lose on Sunday, so no one will be trying to play through injury. While Jeff Saturday did make a quarterback change in the hopes of opening up the offence and winning Indy’s final three games, it’s safe to assume that the franchise is looking ahead.
