“LeBron James is the GOAT; Pugs are Ugly…”: NFL Draft Prospects Deliver Hottest Possible Takes

"My Damn Foot Hurt Haha": LeBron James Laughs Off Logging close to 70,000 Minutes In The NBA

This year’s top draft prospects are already off to a contentious start. But not for the reasons you might think. Earlier today, the NFL in collaboration with The Checkdown released a video on social media where they asked some top NFL draft prospects this year to give their hot takes. Notre Dame star OL Joe Alt started the proceedings by saying he prefers beverages at normal temperatures to cold.

Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton in the beginning itself gave one of the worst hot takes when he said pugs are ugly. Luckily, he somewhat made up for it when he said Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.

UCLA DL Laiatu Latu however disagreed with Tyler and stated that “Pineapple is a good combination on pizza”. Continuing the food theme, Georgia’s Amarius Mims opined that steaks should always be medium. He disregarded every other cooking stage for steaks. “Steaks should always be cooked in medium. No medium rare, no well done, none of that. Just medium,” said Amarius.

Dallas Turner of Alabama next chimed in by labeling ketchup, mustard, and mayo as gross. Brandon Coleman on the contrary expressed his love for mayo, especially with fries. Continuing the toppings theme, Florida DL Jared Verse had an eyebrows-raising take when he claimed ranch on pizza to be disgusting. The pick of the night however was from Jeremiah Trotter of Clemson when he confidently confided the answer to the age-old question of cereal first or milk. Trotter with no remorse stated it should always be cereal first. While no one knows what’s the right way, full marks to Jeremiah for the confidence.

At the end of the video, we saw Illinois’ Jer’Zhan Newton and Penn State’s Chop Robinson debating whether Rod Wave is the best artist currently or not. Graham Barton and T’Vondre Swear had a similar tussle where they argued about whether a hot dog should be considered a sandwich or not. The most straightforward and perhaps the most bold take of the night came from Kentucky’s OL Jeremy Flax when he called LeBron James his GOAT. Straightforward? Yes. But bold? A hundred percent yes. Calling LeBron James the GOAT, especially after Skip Bayless’ latest rant is truly a hot take by Flax.

Skip Bayless Goes On An Epic Rant Discrediting LeBron James’ GOAT Status

In a recent segment of Fox Sports’ Undisputed, popular sports analyst Skip Bayless ripped apart on all those who called LeBron James the GOAT. He shot down their longevity argument by stating Michael Jordan’s incredible championships and MVP wins. Bayless also reminded LeBron fans of Jordan’s versatility by stating his DPOTY award win. He then compared the duo’s playoffs run and rubbed it into LeBron fans on how their GOAT has had epic fails in his playoff runs.

“Just because you play longer at a higher level does not make you better, because it’s just hard to compete with six finals. 6 and 0, six MVPs. It’s hard to compete with 10 scoring titles to only one for LeBron, it’s hard to compete. Michael Jordan won Defensive Player of the Year, it’s hard to compete with a Michael Jordan who had no epic failures at all in his playoff run.”
Skip cut deep by reminding the NBA attacker’s fans of the whole Dan Gilbert episode in 2010 where he and the Cavaliers owner’s relationship was at an all-time low. Bayless questioned James’ composure and adaptability by citing his disaster Miami stint in the early 2010s. The analyst ended by saying that Jordan doesn’t have a taint in his legacy.
“There’s no epic fail and I look at LeBron in 2010 got so bad, that his owner Dan Gilbert accused him of quitting in the series. Well did anybody ever accuse Michael Jeffrey Jordan of quitting? Well no they didn’t. Then we turn right around, he goes to Miami in 2011 and in games four five, and six it was an all-time Superstar meltdown I’ve never seen anything like it before. He just lost it, he wasn’t ready for the brightest lights with the heatles. Michael has none of these taints on his legacy.”
