The NFL season is approaching, and the teams are getting ready to battle it out on the fields. After the schedule was released, fans could wait and look forward to watching their favorite teams in action. This year, when the Green Bay Packers face the Cleveland Bears on September 11, they will not only feel the void of Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, and other key players but also their veteran ball kicker, Mason Crosby.

The Mason Crosby era officially ended this year when the Packers drafted Anders Carlson in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. This meant that his 16-year run with Green Bay ended.
The wife of Mason Crosby dropped a hot piece of information about her husband, while Simone Biles casually asked her fans for recommendations
The Packers selected Crosby in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Since then, he has always given a powerful performance and is 14th all-time and first in franchise history with 1,806 career points. Out of his 16 seasons, he has hit 11 of 16 possible game-winning kicks, including 8 out of 9 in his last seven seasons. His legacy does not end there, as he is also fourth in all-time scoring, which means that he knows football inside and out and has performed at an elite level.
Therefore, as one can imagine, it was hard for him and his wife to say goodbye to his impressive career. While one player’s career ended with the Packers, Simone Biles‘ husband signed a one-year deal with the team. Jonathan Owens, a 27-year-old safety, was previously part of the Houston Texans’ defense for the past two years and then became a free agent.
On Friday, Owen signed the one-year deal within a week after his stunning beachfront marriage ceremony with four-time Olympic champion gymnast Biles. His deal means that the couple will now spend time in Green Bay, and to learn more about the city, the 26-year-old asked her fans to recommend places to eat and have fun.

Ready with a reply was Crosby’s wife, Molly Ackerman. She wrote:
Sad we will miss you, we just ended a 16 year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got stuff I need to share with you. Little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…

Hence, the placekicker’s wife confirmed that the 38-year-old will no longer play for the Packers.
Financial limitations surround Crosby’s future return with the Packers.
When the team’s general manager, Brian Gutekunst, was asked who the team’s kicker would be in 2023, He provided a way to answer.
He said, as per Packers.com, “We’ll see. That’s to be determined.”
Gutekunst was then asked if Crosby could ever make a comeback with Green Bay, and he did not say yes or no but also showed reluctance to the idea.
“We’ll never close the door; we’ll see where that goes,” replied Gutekunst. “Mason is the all-time leading scorer in this franchise’s history. He had a good year this past year. We’re limited financially, but we’ll never say never.”
Crosby set a new Green Bay Packers’ record with 1,918 points, surpassing the previous record. Throughout his 16 seasons, he maintained an 81.4% success rate with his field goals and exceeded an 80.0% success rate in nine of those seasons. Despite missing most of his training camp last year because of his right knee surgery, Crosby still performed well, making 25 out of 29 field goals (86.2%), and going 18 for 18 on field goals inside 40 yards.
