After the future Hall of Famer Tom Brady retired from the NFL, he went on to focus completely on his business endeavors. He has already introduced new and improved products to his clothing and wellness brands. Additionally, the 45-year-old is now all set to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

A few months ago, Brady becoming a minority owner of an NFL team sounded like a dream. However, much to everyone’s surprise, Raiders owner Mark Davis recently acknowledged that he “has come to an agreement” with the seven-time Super Bowl winner to join the franchise’s ownership group. Now, all that’s left for the league to do is approve the request.

Tom Brady will be the third NFL player to own an NFL team
Confirming the deal with Brady, Davis told ESPN, “We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders, and it’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner.”
The other two players who owned NFL teams were George Halas Sr. and Jerry Richardson. Halas was the founder and owner of the Chicago Bears. He also played wide receiver for the team and then became a coach. Whereas Richardson owned the Carolina Panthers, but before that, he was drafted in the 13th round by the Baltimore Colts. In 1961, he was traded from the Colts to the New York Giants.
24 current NFL team owners should approve Brady’s partnership with the Raiders. This is the case with all minority and majority owners. As per ESPN, his new partnership with Las Vegas will not affect his 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX.

Brady, originally selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 draft, would reunite with several former Patriots in Las Vegas. This includes Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels, who served as Brady’s offensive coordinator in New England during various seasons.
Additionally, Raiders’ general manager Dave Ziegler, quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer, edge rusher Chandler Jones, running back Brandon Bolden, fullback Jakob Johnson, and wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Phillip Dorsett, all have ties to the New England Patriots organization.
Brady has already invested in a Davis-owned WNBA team
Even though the iconic QB has retired from the NFL, he still makes investments that keep him in close proximity to the world of sports. In March, the NFL GOAT announced that he was becoming a part owner of a WNBA team Las Vegas Aces, which is owned by Mark Davis.
While Tom’s TB12 store is struggling to keep up after the FTX debacle which led to hefty losses for the superstar QB, Brady can now sit back and relax a bit as the Raiders and Aces are most probably going to earn him a lot of profits in the time to come.
