“That’s Not What He Wanted To Cook!”: Patrick From SpongeBob Destroys Russell Wilson After Horrendous Interception

Russell Wilson

Christmas is not going too well for the Denver Broncos, and especially Russell Wilson. Wilson’s first year with the Broncos cannot go worse than it already has, with a 37-point defeat capping off an already abysmal season. What is more disheartening for him, perhaps, is that he is now getting shade from non-living entities as well. His newest critic is none other than Patrick the starfish, from SpongeBob.

CBS’ broadcast of the Broncos vs Rams game received a twist of Nickelodeon, with Patrick starfish getting in on the commentating action time and again. It was during one of his stints, that Russell Wilson threw a shocker of an interception. A pass straight to former teammate, and now Rams’ defender, Bobby Wagner.

And like any commentator worth his salt, Patrick did not let the opportunity go to waste. He was quick to come up with a blow that landed the instant it left his lips. “That’s called an ‘intraception’,” he said. “That’s not what he wanted to cook.” Fellow commentator Noah Eagle too jumped in on the action, saying, “No, I think he burnt whatever he was cooking.”

Loss against Rams frustrates Russell Wilson and the Broncos

Pride was the only thing at stake during Sunday’s game, with both teams out of playoff contention. The Rams can be satisfied with the fact that they managed to come out on top. Not only that, but they also managed to hand the Broncos their worst loss since 2010. This may not mean much for their postseason chances, but as defending champions, they might just want to go out on a high.

As for the Broncos, the loss is hopefully the last of the season, but it’s never that certain with them. Wilson’s arrival this season was meant to be a game-changer, and many expected the Broncos to be firm contenders for the playoff spots. Instead, they now hang in the lower ends of their division and conference, with a disappointing 4-11 record.

Added to that, Wilson’s extravagant $242 million contract has raised many an eyebrow, and fans have already labeled it the worst mistake the Broncos could make. Although Wilson does have potential, nothing he has done this season points to him being what was promised to fans at the start of the season. If anything, Wilson just might become the most expensive bench warmer in NFL history.

That is, if whoever replaces Nathaniel Hackett finds no other use for him. Broncos fans have been at the throats of their team’s management, calling for Hackett’s sacking. And with this season almost over, it should not be surprising if the Broncos throw out a few names for consideration already. What will the Broncos do to turn this around? Will we see a better team next year? And will we see Wilson in it?
