Patrick Mahomes Billionaire by 2030: Chiefs Poster Boy Sets High Standards with His Humongous $11 Million Investment

Patrick Mahomes has always been a baseball fanatic. His love for the game reached such an extent that he bought stakes in an MLB team a couple of years ago. The investment has now turned out to be a huge success and is expected to touch the billion-dollar mark by 2030. The NFL superstar enjoys a massive wealth accumulation, playing for the last six seasons in the league. He signed an extension worth $450 million in 2020, and one of the first things he did was buy stakes in the Kansas City Royals.

Since childhood, Mahomes has enjoyed spending time on the baseball field alongside his father, who was an MLB pitcher. He took his talent to Texas Tech and played for the college team as one of the promising prospects. But fate had something else destined, and the youngster was inclined towards football. After reaping enough success from the NFL arena, he refreshed his love for baseball, making a huge investment.

Patrick Mahomes will become a billionaire by 2030

The quarterback’s current net worth is estimated at around $50 million, which includes his NFL salaries and other endorsement deals. It is booming with each passing day, and one of the prime reasons behind this success is the investments he made. Back in 2020, the gunslinger caught headlines after announcing the purchase of minority stakes in the Kansas City Royals.

At that time, the team’s market value was somewhere around $1.2 billion. Mahomes bought 1% of the organization for $11 million, one of the biggest commitments he made in his NFL career.

According to the reports, this deal will make him a billionaire by 2030. That 1% will touch the billion-dollar mark in no time and make him one of the richest athletes. The statistics justify this notion, as the brand value of this organization has been tripling in the last four years.

“I’m honored to become a part owner of the Kansas City Royals,” Mahomes said in a statement, per CNBC. “I love this city and the people of this great town. This opportunity allows me to deepen my roots in this community, which is something I’m excited to do,” he added.

Apart from pouring cash into baseball, Patrick has made several other multi-million dollar investments

In order to secure his future, the gunslinger made plenty of investments along with spending a lot of cash to attain a minority stake in the KC Royals. The 2x Super Bowl champion has invested in a brand called Hyperice that focuses on recovery products and massages. Similarly, he devoted a significant amount to Whoop, the company that focuses on tracking sleep cycles and performance management.

Mahomes showcased his love for soccer as well by purchasing minority stakes in Sporting Kansas City, a men’s soccer club in the MLS. He didn’t budge from supporting the women’s team and made a huge investment in the KC Current alongside his wife, Brittany Matthews, last year.

While several NFL stars end up blowing all their cash on just fancy stuff, Patrick has shown that he is a man who likes staying two steps ahead of his counterparts, on the field, as well as in the world of finance.
