Patrick Mahomes Explains Why He named his child ‘Bronze’
The star of the Kansas City Chiefs had revealed earlier this week that he wants to name his son Patrick Lavon Mahomes III. However, Patrick also wanted to go for something different and experiment a little, and it was his TikTok star brother Jackson who then came up with the idea of “Bronze.”

“My brother Jackson, whenever we were trying to find something that was a little different and unique, he said ‘What about Bronze?,” Mahomes said in a statement to the media on Wednesday. It blends in flawlessly with Sterling. We decided to follow that. Mahomes’ one-year-old daughter Sterling.
It functions well, he continued. “Despite the fact that he is Patrick, he can now have his own identity as Bronze. And going forward, Sterling and Bronze can still be connected.”
Giving Bronze his own identity is a nice idea, but let’s face it, we all know he will eventually grow up to be known as Patrick’s son, at least before he establishes his own identity in any particular field.
