“Richard Sherman Wasn’t F**king Scaring Me”: Erin Andrews Breaks Silence On What Went Wrong During Awkward 2014 Postgame Interview
Erin Andrews is a massive entity in the world of sports. Her sideline interviews and in-depth coverage makes the viewing experience all the more better. She has been in the industry for several years now and has enjoyed a lot of success.
Throughout her career, Erin has been a part of innumerable postgame interviews which ended up going crazy viral. One such interview she recently decided to speak about came out in 2014.
It was the 2013 season’s NFC championship game so obviously, the stakes were extremely high. During the final play of the game, controversial quarterback Colin Kaepernick targeted receiver Michael Crabtree but Seahawks star Richard Sherman came in between and sealed the deal for the team from Seattle.
Crabtree, who had said a few nasty things about Sherman before the game, was well and truly outplayed by the Seahawks’ cornerback. So as one can expect, Richard was incredibly excited when he came down for a postgame interview with Erin Andrews.
“WHEN YOU TRY ME WITH A SORRY RECEIVER LIKE CRABTREE, THAT’S THE RESULT YOU GONNA GET!”

Erin Andrews talks about the famous Richard Sherman interview
Erin straightaway asked Sherman to take her through the final play to which he replied by saying that a sorry receiver like Crabtree couldn’t pose any challenge to him.
“Don’t you ever talk about me,” Sherman continued after which, a bewildered Erin asked, “who was talking about you?” Yes, it made up for an awkward moment as Erin’s question caught Sherman off guard who clearly was talking about Crabtree only throughout the interaction.
Recently, when Sherman made an appearance on Erin Andrews’ “Calm Down With Erin & Charissa” podcast, she decided to shed some light on what exactly happened in that interview.
“I knew what happened after and why I got vocal after is because I didn’t want anyone to think he was scaring me. He wasn’t f*cking scaring me,” Erin claimed during the podcast.
“My first question sucked a**, ‘Richard, the final play, take me through it.’ I should have been like, ‘what happened?’ Not ‘take me through it.’ That’s not even a f*cking question’” Erin continued.

“My face, and I’ve said it the whole time, wasn’t like ‘Oh my God, oh my God, he’s scaring me, I’m freaked out, this athlete is yelling at me,’ No, it was, this is f*cking awesome, this has never happened, people are going to lose their minds,” she added.
In the end, it all panned out well as Sherman was able to establish his authority with that game and from that point onwards, till this very day, Erin has been doing fantastically well too.
