The Milwaukee Bucks were kicked out of the NBA playoffs in 2023 after a terrible campaign. Post-elimination, Giannis addressed the media and answered some serious questions during the press conference. He was asked whether the 2023 season was a failure in his career. After taking a pause, Giannis decided to hit back with a blunt response. “There’s no failure in sports… It’s not a failure, it’s steps to success.” the Greek Freak said.

“There are good days, bad days. Some days you are able to be successful, some days you are not… and that’s what sports is about,” he added. The 28-year-old also cited Michael Jordan’s example, saying that MJ had won six championships in his illustrious career of 15 years. So whether the remaining nine years were an utter failure? No! It wasn’t.

Hence, the question was obviously ridiculous, and the reporter got a first-hand taste from Giannis himself. The former Super Bowl champion, Russell Wilson, looked impressed by these statements and shared the post on social media. “Through the highs and lows..Keep going,” he captioned on Twitter.

Can Wilson make a comeback?

The 2022 season witnessed a major turnaround in the quarterback’s career. He showcased his worst-ever NFL performance and received heavy criticism from fans all across the globe. He could only throw 16 touchdowns against 11 interceptions and was sacked 55 times. Most of the time, the O-linemen were blamed for not protecting their quarterback, but Wilson’s inaccuracies cost them an entire season.

The Broncos finished the campaign with a poor record of 5-12. Looking at the miserable condition, the team’s upper brass fired Nathaniel Hackett from the coaching job and reinstated its glory by recruiting Sean Payton.

Under Payton, a lot of things are expected to improve. Moreover, there shouldn’t be any doubts about Wilson’s abilities because he is already an established athlete with numerous accolades. It’s just a rough phase in his career. Fans can stay tuned for regular updates.
