7x Olympic Gold winning gymnast Simone Biles is officially married. After only being engaged a year ago, she finally tied the knot with Houston Texans safety Jonathan Owens. However, it was not the wedding many expected stars of their stature to have. Empathizing with her fans, Biles finally revealed why her wedding was such a secret.

Apparently, Biles met Owens through the dating app ‘Raya’, though the two had encountered each other before at a Texans game in 2019. Since then, Biles had been regularly updating her fans on Instagram about her relationship with Owens. Things reached an all-time high when Owens finally proposed to Biles on the 14th of February 2022. According to Biles, it was “the easiest yes”.

This means they had to officially tie the knot in the United States for it to have any legal standing. Apparently, even the destination wedding is going to be a private one, with not more than 150 guests on the list.
