“Steve, we’re going to f-king kill everyone”: LB Zaven Collins had a hilarious reaction after being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals at 2021 NFL Draft

Tusla LB Zaven Collins is a bonafide stud and his collegiate tape is more than evidence enough. Thus, when the Arizona Cardinals found him still on the board at No.16, they didn’t let their chance slip. And Zaven Collins had a hilarious NSFW reaction to becoming a Cardinal.

Zaven Collins spent 3 years during his illustrious career at Tulsa. Even though he was the 4th defensive player of the board after fellow LB Micah Parsons and CB’s Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn, Collins was recognized as the best defensive player in college football in 2020, earning both the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award.

Collins will be the latest addition to a defense that is looking loaded after a number of offseason moves. Zaven will slide into the middle, surrounded by players like J.J Watt, Chandler Jones, Budda Baker, and Malcolm Butler.

Zaven Collins had a hyped NSFW message for his new GM and HC.

With the 16th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals took the unanimous All-American, and if the front office’s call to him is anything to go by, the youngster is more than excited to join the team. Cardinals’ GM Steve Kein called Zaven Collins and this is how Collins responded:

“Steve, we’re gonna f–king kill everyone…We’re gonna get a Super Bowl ring so f–king big on our finger that show dogs wouldn’t be able to jump over it,” Collins said

Kein then passed the phone to Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who congratulated the rookie and jokingly said that there’s no redshirting in the NFL. And Collins was up for it once again. “There’s no f–king redshirt,” Collins added. “We’re gonna go in and we’re gonna kill it.”

Zaven Collins will bring an All-AAC selection and first-team All-American honours to a team that drafted LB Isiah Simmons with their first-round pick last year. After losing Haasan Reddick, it made sense for the Cardinals to go out and draft his replacement. Collins had a breakout season in 2020. He recorded 54 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and four interceptions.

Zaven Collins’ may not shine with his speed, but his elite ball skills and explosive gameplay will certainly translate to the next level. It will be very interesting to see how he does in his rookie season in 2021.
