To promote this four-part documentary on a much larger scale, NFL legend Tom Brady shared a motivational snippet on his Instagram story. “I feel strong in my mind. I always do, I don’t let defeat faze me. The true champions can come back. The true champions rise again. And I am a true champion,” said McGregor’s in the snippet.
Director Gotham Chopra speaks more on this project
Gotham Chopra is a mastermind when it comes to documenting the journey of superstar athletes. Even before starting his work on McGregor’s series, Chopra had already narrated inspirational tales of LeBron James and Tom Brady. “We were going to tell a comeback story, but it turned into something with a lot more depth than that,” Chopra said about Conor’s series, per The Sun.
“With Conor, there’s this public person and this one-man carnival act that’s out there. But there is also this kind of reflective, self-aware, thoughtful, and articulate man inside there. He’s a great character,” he added. It will be interesting to see the latest responses from the viewers of this documentary series.
