It was a solemn day for the citizens of Dallas, Texas. A gunman rampantly shot and killed eight people at a shopping mall. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the Allen Premium Outlets mall as several eyewitnesses saw a man firing indiscriminately at people nearby. This news comes right after the recent school shooting incident which left many people absolutely terrified.

After hearing shots, a policeman responding to an unrelated incident shot and killed the gunman otherwise, God knows how many more innocent people would have lost their lives. Kyler Murray, the star quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals, recently expressed his rage over the horrific incident. He also wished to help those who were gravely affected by the tragedy.

Kyler Murray furiously condemned the mass shooting

After hearing the painful news, it was natural for the entire nation to react to it. Murray was one of the first to grieve over the deaths of all the victims. He not only offered his condolences but also showed his anger toward the social evil that is mass shootings.

On his official Twitter profile, he wrote: “This is sickening. Prayers to the mass shooting victims in Allen, Texas. If there is anyway I can help those affected by this tragedy please let me know.” He also asked, “When is this sh*t going to stop?

Fans were thankful for the support and condolences offered by the 25-year-old. They said:

It was reported that a few of the victims were children. Out of the eight people, seven are currently receiving treatment in a hospital. Out of those seven, three are critically ill. Gregg Abbott, the Texas governor, thought of the shooting as an “unspeakable tragedy” and offered his immediate assistance.

Murray has earned the respect of the University of Oklahoma

The Cardinals quarterback is not only a well-liked figure in Arizona but also at Oklahoma. Along with using his voice for speaking on matters like mass shootings, he has also taken part in various philanthropic endeavors. The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner was recently rewarded by the Sooners by installing a statue of him. The statue was unveiled ahead of the Sooners’ annual spring game.

The statue depicts Murray, without a helmet, in the act of throwing, with the headband he wore during his college career. He is the seventh Heisman winner from the University of Oklahoma and joins the statues of other winners like Baker Mayfield, Sam Bradford, Jason White, Billy Sims, Steve Owens, and Billy Vessels.

Murray, who is regarded as one of the powerhouses of the new-gen QB, will start his season soon with the Cardinals this year.
