Pant and Samson would do well to listen to this piece of advice from Rahul Dravid
Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are quite rightly regarded as two of India’s brightest cricketing prospects in the future. This was a huge IPL season for both Pant and Samson and neither has disappointed as they have been the stars of what has been a below par performance from the Delhi Daredevils. As their respective stars continue to shine, Pant and Samson would do well to listen to this piece of advice from Rahul Dravid.
Samson scored a superb hundred earlier on in the tournament while Pant played one of the best IPL innings of all time in Delhi’s last outing against the Gujarat Lions. They both have been touted as possible successors to MS Dhoni’s place in the side which has lead to an extra amount of pressure to be put on their young shoulders.

But the pressure does not seem to affect them as both Pant and Samson have enhanced their reputations over the last few weeks. But the coach of the Delhi Daredevils, Rahul Dravid had some advice for the pair of them.
Dravid asked them to not watch his batting videos as he believed that they were dpimg good stuff by them selves.

“I am glad that when you were growing up you have learnt by actually watching me bat. Are you serious? (laughter). I used to bat exactly like that (smashing fours and sixes) (laughter again),” Dravid said. “I am glad that they have not been watching too many videos of me batting when you need 209 in 20 overs. “Well done boys. Terrific innings. Super stuff. Incredible innings from the two boys,” he added.
Pant had agonizingly missed his century by three runs but Dravid was concerned about the fact that he had gotten out before finishing the match for the team.
“I am a hard taskmaster. I hope that next time you finish the job (run chase) and stay not out. Well done boys,” he concluded.
