Paul Scholes produced a mouthwatering pass during Vincent Kompany’s testimonial.
Manchester City legends took on Premier League all-stars for Vincent Kompany testimonial.
The Belgian International quit Manchester City this summer, but he will forever be remembered for his contribution to the English side during his 11-year stay. During his stint in Manchester, the defender won four apiece Premier League and League Cups, and three FA Cups. He played an integral part under Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini, and Pep Guardiola.
The centre-back was forced to sit out due to a hamstring injury and watched two sides take on from the sidelines. Martin Petrov and Benjani scored for the Citizens, while Robbie Keane and Robin Van Persie found the back of the net in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
During this game, Paul Scholes produced a peach of a no-look pass to find Robin Van Persie in the frontline. The move did not end in a goal, but it was a filthy touch from the former Manchester United midfielder.
Good of Manchester City to put on a testimonial match for Paul Scholes

Genuine question: Does Paul Scholes fancy coming out of retirement once again? Could still do a job in the middle of the pitch for United #Legend

Manchester United fans were raving about this pass.
Not one bad touch from guys like Giggs, Scholes, Carrick & RVP. I watch dickheads like Lingard fail to trap a ball 5 times a week when he’s in acres of space. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Fuck off.

Some of Paul Scholes’ passing 👏👏 round the corner, finding his man, then crossfield to Ashley Cole or through the middle to Van Persie, rolling back the years. Always one of the great frustrations of the Eriksson #eng era that he never used Scholes properly. Kompany testimonial

Paul Scholes is a stupendous little ginger confectionary

Put Scholes back in midfield and he’ll do a job.

It’s sad to think that players such as Michael Carrick (38), Paul Scholes (44), & Robin Van Persie (36) would all stil get into the current Manchester United side.
