RCB have named an interim captain in place of Virat Kohli
News has filtered through the Royal Challengers Bangalore have decided to name an interim captain to lead their side instead of the injured Virat Kohli. (RCB have named an interim captain in place of Virat Kohli )
Kohli suffered a shoulder injury in the third test match against Australia and will now miss a handful of matches for the RCB in this year’s edition of the IPL.
In place of Kohli, Shane Watson has been named the captain of the side and will take charge of this team until Kohli returns. This is not the first time that Watson has captained an IPL side.

He was the captain of the Rajasthan Royals for a few years before that team got barred from the IPL. (RCB have named an interim captain in place of Virat Kohli )
“Virat Kohli, the RCB Captain will be missing the first few matches of the VIVO Indian Premier League owing to an unfortunate shoulder injury. His presence on field is dependent on him passing the fitness tests and we hope for a strong recovery for him,” team chairman Amrit Thomas was quoted as saying by an official media release.

“In the interim, Shane Watson, will lead the RCB team as the stand-in captain. (RCB have named an interim captain in place of Virat Kohli ) Shane has been one of the top performers and a great mentor for the team, making him an ideal choice to lead the team this season till Virat is back on field,” the release added.
