Real Madrid star midfielder signs a contract extension with Los Blancos, while agreeing a contract which ties him with the club until 2023.
Real Madrid’s midfield sensation added another year to his current contract with Los Blancos, tying him with the Spanish club until 2023.
The contract extension has surely buried the transfer speculations around the German International, who was tipped to leave the club amidst massive squad overhaul this summer.
Real Madrid on their official website have confirmed the extension and want the player to aid in their revival plans for next season.
Earlier, it was reported that Zinedine Zidane casted doubts on the 29-year-old midfielder, while discussing his future with the club in April.
Toni Kroos had an underwhelming season with Los Merengues as the player failed to contribute anything significant to improve Real Madrid’s disappointing campaign this year.
Additionally, it was further speculated that Kroos could be sold to fund the sensational signing of Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
Meanwhile, in an interaction to Goal, Zidane revealed “Toni is a key player. He’s been in Madrid five years and has done great things. He’s a great player that brings calm. I’ve always liked him.
“Everyone talks about Toni, and other players, in terms of whether I want them or not. Every player is good and important. There will be changes but not right now, at the end of the season.”
Thus, it seems that the Real Madrid midfielder has a huge role in Zidane’s plan this year and could be influential in the following season.
On the other hand, Ole Solskjaer earlier posed interest for the German International, as the Manchester United’s manager wanted to bolster his midfield by signing Kroos.
Nevertheless, the transfer saga of Toni Kroos comes to an end with German International seeking to regain his lost glorious form.
How twitter reacted
Toni Kroos, another player who was on bench for Real yesterday and didn't get on, signs contract extension. Not anticipating one of those for Gareth Bale but don't see him walking out on the one he has. Gives Real a financial dilemma given big name players they want to sign.

I'm happy with Kroos renewing, badly need Zidane to recover the best form of his. Hopefully he'll be retiring here. Very positive news.
