Real Madrid transfer news: Zinedine Zidane set for 540 million squad overhaul this summer as six players are on Los Blancos’ radar.
Real Madrid have struggled to be on top this season. With Zinedine Zidane back in as Los Merengues manager, the club is looking forward to bolster squad with huge signings.
According to reports, Zidane sat with club management and decided to target Paul Pogba, Christian Eriksen, Eden Hazard, Tanguy Ndombele and Luka Jovic this summer.
However, the big price tags of these players would require an enormous budget. Hence, to gain the services of these players would be propelled to break the bank.
Furthermore, The Spanish capital based club has already signed Eder Militao this summer. Real Madrid would be knowing that the costliest player out of the lot will be Pogba, with rumours that Manchester United will demand around €150 million for the Frenchman.
Buying all five targets will require an outlay of €487 million and adding €50 million already paid for Militao, the overall cost reaches around €540 million. This amount will surpass the amount spent by Real Madrid in transfer windows in last five years.
New Galacticos?
Whereas, Chelsea is demanding €112 million for Hazard despite the Belgian international going out of contract next year. On the other hand, Real Madrid is in no mood to go above €85 million for Eriksen. However, Tottenham is known for getting best amounts for their players and would be expecting around €100 million for him.
Nevertheless, if Los Vikingos are able to sign these players, it will surely bolster up their squad for next season. With Eriksen being the possible successor and Pogba’s addition into the midfield it will surely solve the midfield concerns.
Furthermore, Hazard has the potential to fill the void after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from the club for Juventus.
Building the squad for future
Zidane is also targeting to sign Ndombele from Lyon and Jovic from frankfurt. Since there performances have attracted several big clubs. Lyon are expecting €80 million fee for Ndombele. Whereas, Real Madrid are at an advanced stage to sign 21-year-old sensation from Frankfurt.
Therefore, with Vinicius Jr. in the squad, Rodrygo’s planned arrival this summer and these two probable new signings will help Real Madrid to secure their future.
