Twitter reactions as Real Madrid hold Club Brugge from a two-goal deficit.

Real Madrid are winless from their opening two group stage games. The Los Blancos faced defeat in the hands of Paris Saint Germain in the opening game week of the Champions League. They had a task to secure all three points at any cost, but they failed. Zinedine Zidane’s side held their opponents Club Brugge 2-2 at Santiago Bernabeu.

The visitors were too hard to handle in the early stages of game and got the much-deserved goal through Emmanuel Bonaventure in the 9th minute. The hosts kept on pushing for the equalizer, but lost their way in the counter-attack once again. Brugge’s Bonaventure stumbled and it looked like the chance had gone, however, he chipped the ball over the goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

For the poor display in the first half, Zinedine Zidane removed Courtois and substituted him to replace Areola during the half-time. The French International, upon coming on in the second half made an outstanding save to keep his side in the game. Sergio Ramos in the next few minutes found the back of the net through a cross. It was controversial call as it looked like an offside.

The Los Blancos kept on pushing and pressurized the opponents. This saw Brugge Skipper Ruud Vormer receive marching orders in the 84th minute for his tackle on Casemiro. In the succeeding free-kick, the hosts levelled through the Brazilian who won the foul. For rest of the game, Brugge defended well and saw out the game.

Real Madrid are last in their group, while Club Brugge are second with two points.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions.
