Royal Challengers Bangalore Playing 11 today

Royal Challengers Bangalore Playing 11 today: The Sportsrush presents before you RCB’s Predicted Playing 11 for their eighth match of IPL 2019.

RCB have finally managed to get off the mark in this IPL after pulling off a comprehensive win against the Kings XI Punjab at Mohali. Kohli’s men would now like to use this confidence to win a few more matches on the trot.

While it is true that their chances of qualification hangs by a thin thread, RCB should take it one game at a time and enjoy themselves as much as they can.

The Wankhede is a stadium where they have enjoyed playing and the rivalry between MI and RCB has always been entertaining. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers would look to make the most of the belter of a track in Mumbai and continue their good form.

Top-order

Well, the top order has been pretty stable for RCB in the last few matches. Parthiv Patel has played well in this tournament so far giving RCB some good starts up the order. He will maintain his place.

Joining him would be skipper, Virat Kohli who has shown throughout this IPL that in spite of RCB’s performance, he himself is timing the ball well. He has scored 270 runs in 7 matches already and would love to add to that now.

AB de Villiers, with 232 runs, is not far behind. After a string of low scores, de Villiers has finally struck form. He scored an unbeaten 59 off 38 balls and received the Man of the Match award against KXIP. He needs to continue to bat like the old AB de Villiers who was feared as much as loved by the fans.

Middle-order

Marcus Stoinis, playing at No. 4, did a great job the other night and helped finish off the game with de Villiers. He will want to play the role of stabilising the middle order as well as finishing off games when required. Moeen Ali will come in at No. 5 and he needs to play an important role with the bat in case of a top order collapse. Akshdeep Nath has done nothing wrong to get sacked and Pawan Negi would be expected to play some big shots at the death if needed.

Bowlers

The RCB bowlers put in a spirited performance to restrict KXIP last night. They need to perform even better on a wicket like the Wankhede. The good news for RCB is that their old warhorse, Dale Steyn will be most probably joining the team before this match.

If he is good to go after the travel, Steyn might make a comeback in RCB colours after 9 long years. The experience of Steyn will massively help the RCB bowlers and it will be interesting to see if he can change their fortunes. Mohammad Siraj might make way for Steyn as Siraj has been too expensive.

Umesh Yadav and young Navdeep Saini will make up the pace battery. Chahal, RCB’s highest wicket-taker, would try to continue his magic. All-rounders Stoinis, Moeen and Negi are expected to chip in as well.
