RR Playing 11 today: The Sportsrush presents before you RR’s Predicted Playing 11 for their 12th match of IPL 2019 vs SRH.

Rajasthan Royals are in a tricky situation and need to win all their three remaining matches to have a shot at the playoffs. The loss of their English recruits who have been instrumental in whatever little success they have had will only worsen the scenario. Royals need to play as a team and give it their all towards the end of the League stages and hope for the best.

Top-order

Ajinkya Rahane, after being relieved from captaincy duties, looks a much better and fearless batsman. He even brought up his second IPL century a couple of games back playing a scintillating knock. He will be accompanied by another centurion of this IPL, Sanju Samson who would need to get some consistency into his game.

Steven Smith at No. 3 needs to lead from the front and play the role of a solid anchor and aggressor at the same time. He has looked his old self in a few matches and he would be hoping to continue that. He has even more responsibility now considering the absence of the English pros.

Middle-order

The absence of Ben Stokes will mean that the young 17 year old Riyan Parag who has probably been the find of this season will get to play at No. 4 and make a much more significant contribution with the bat. He has looked calm and mature and would need to take a lot of responsibility on his young shoulders.

Liam Livingstone should be in the team for Stokes and would look to make a mark. Stuart Binny would also need to take up much more responsibility and play as a proper middle order batsman. Shreyas Gopal would be expected the play the finisher and tonk the ball out of the park.

Bowlers

The absence of Jofra Archer leaves a huge hole in the RR bowling line-up with Archer being the most impactful bowler for them. Varun Aaron, who has the Man of the Match against KKR the other night, will need to step up yet again along with the West Indian Oshane Thomas who can also hurry the batsmen up.

Ish Sodhi might make the XI in this game in Jaipur and would extract some help from the pitch. Jaydev Unadkat may get one of his last chances in this IPL to make a significant contribution.

Shreyas Gopal has always been brilliant for the Royals. If required, Riyan Parag and Liam Livingstone can contribute to the spin attack while Binny can bowl a few impactful medium pacers as well.
