Sai Praneeth enters the semi finals of the Singapore Open Super Series
Sai Praneeth beats Thailand’s Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk by 15-21, 21-14, 21-19 in a thrilling match as Sai Praneeth enters the semi finals of the Singapore Open Super Series.
Tanongsak ranked 6th, as expected took the first game 15-21 by completely dominating the 24 year old Indian Shuttler. Although Sai came back strong in the second and made sure it doesn’t turn out to be a one sided battle as he won the game 21-14.

The third game was a thriller and a delight to the eyes as both the players tried their level best in outplaying each other. At a point it was 17-17 and tension was starting to grip in, but Sai could hold off his nerves in the decisive moments and won the game 21-19 to reach the semis.

Later today in the women’s category PV Sindhu faces off her Olympic rival Carolina Marin for the second time in two weeks. The match is expected to start at 4:30 PM IST and would be telecast at Star Sports 2 and Star Sports HD2 with live streaming at Hotstar. In the men’s category Srikanth Kidambi would be against 5th seeded Chinese Shi Yuqi.
