Sasha Banks: The Legit Boss to return at Extreme Rules

Sasha Banks: The Legit Boss to return at Extreme Rules. WWE drops heavy hint amidst speculations on Bank’s future.

Sasha Banks has not been seen on WWE television since Wrestlemania. However, it seems that the WWE are setting up a return of one of their 4 horsewomen.

Bayley, the current SmackDown Women’s champion participated in a beat the clock challenge against Nikki Cross. The winner would earn the right to choose the stipulation for Bayley’s match against Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules.

Bayley beat Sarah Logan in an impressive 4 minutes and 32 seconds. Cross though, did even better as she bested Dana Brooke in quicker time. Having earned the right of choice, Cross asked Bayley to join her in the ring.

She then informed the SmackDown Women’s champion that she would defend her title in a handicap match before asking her to find a friend to slap some sense into her. Bayley then slapped Cross before hitting her with the Bayley to Belly. She then knocked Cross out with a flying elbow.

The whole deal seems like a set up. Like it’s leading to a moment that the fans have long been waiting for. One that sees a purple haired horsewoman walked with swagger only she can carry.

The Boss n Hug connection

Sasha Banks can even the odds and be the friend that Cross suggested Bayley find. This could also help Bayley retain her title. Especially considering that the title belongs to the Blue Brand and there is only one SmackDown woman in that match. Logic would dictate that Bayley walk in and out as the SmackDown champion. However, logic would also dictate that the SmackDown title be defended against SmackDown Competitors but here we are.

Sasha’s WWE return seems imminent at the moment. The two were after all the first ever WWE Women’s tag team champions, long time rivals and now best friends.

Unless the WWE plan to break up Bliss and Cross at Extreme Rules and have Bayley take advantage of their dissension. Bayley could still walk out victorious and the WWE can set up the Bliss Vs Cross match for SummerSlam. However, at this point we’ll just have to wait and watch.

Extreme Rules will take place on July 14, 2019, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will stream live on the WWE network.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
