Sea of Thieves, the action adventure game in which you become a pirate and undertake voyages has suddenly started trending. Since the Steam Winter Sale, there has been a steady increase in the number of players actively playing the game. It was developed by Rare & published by Xbox Game Studios. The objective of this game is to become the ultimate pirate legend.

In this first-person multiplayer game, players co-operate with the others and attempt to open a new world with the help of a pirate ship.  Although it was conceptualized way back in 2014, its release happened in 2018.

Sea of Thieves peaks in concurrent players

Ever since it went as part of the Steam Winter Sale, the audience for Sea of Thieves has also grown. This is not surprising, considering that the game offers a highly unique experience, letting you don the hat of a pirate. According to a report by PlayTracker, the winter sale has been a blessing in reviving the player count of Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves has had over 15 million players worldwide since its launch in March 2018. June 2020 has been its biggest month so far, with over 3.3 million players active in the game. In the last 3 months, according to steamcharts, many players have been coming back to this action-adventure title.

According to the site, in the last 30 days, at peak, over 50,000 players have been playing the game at the same time. It is available to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows.
