Seth Rollins: Watch a fan bring up CM Punk and WWE’s Scripted Promos to The WWE Universal Champion at the Wizard World Comic Convention.
Fans around the world have expressed their disdain over the micromanaged and over scripted product the WWE has put out in recent years. They long for the time when The Rock, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels and many other Attitude Era stars wowed the audience with their ability to put their opponents in their place with mere words.

They complain that today’s scripted environment makes it hard to buy the feud. The wrestlers sound robotic and the heat between them feels forced. Many Wrestlers including CM Punk have also had the same complain.
A fan in attendance at the Wizard World Comic Con bought this up to the current Universal Champion, Seth Rollins. He echoed Punks views and asked the champion what he thought of the product today. Especially when compared to the Attitude Era.

A fan brings up CM Punk to Seth Rollins and WWE scripting promos for the wrestlers these days word for word and asks Seth how he feels about it: “Funny how you’re so in tune with what goes on backstage, because I’ve never seen you backstage.” from SquaredCircle
The champion hilariously responded by saying; “Funny how you’re so in tune what goes on backstage, because i’ve never seen you backstage.”
The Champion then explained that wrestlers today are different. The have less experience cutting promo’s on the fly. He claimed that in spite of that, wrestling was still awesome.
Rollins ended by saying that the scripts worked for some guys and didn’t for some. The best of the best however, were those who could do it all.
