During the second match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between West Indies and Pakistan at Trent Bridge, West Indies wicket-keeper Shai Hope grabbed an exceptional diving catch to dismiss Pakistan batsman Babar Azam.
It all happened on the first delivery of the 14th over when Azam edged an Oshane Thomas delivery behind the wickets. Judging the catch to perfection, Hope dived to his right to catch the ball while being airborne.

Azam, who came in to bat at No. 3 in the third over, ended up scoring 22 (33) with the help of two fours. West Indies and (more importantly) Shimron Hetmyer would be delighted after the wicket for he had dropped Azam off West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite in the 11th over.
While it was Thomas’ first wicket, Azam became the fourth Pakistani batsman to walk back to the pavilion after West Indies captain Jason Holder won the toss and chose to field.
At 62/4 (at the time of Azam’s dismissal), Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed and veteran player Mohammad Hafeez are currently battling it out in the middle. With the conditions favouring the bowlers, batting is turning out to be no mean task for the senior Pakistani duo.
