Sheldon Jackson was phenomenal for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy last season. Jackson notched up a staggering 854 runs. However, his performances failed to propel him to the India A and other squads.

Understandably upset, Jackson took to twitter to express his opinion on the matter. He made quite the flutter when he made mention of the discrimination one faces when playing for small state sides. He felt that it was unfair to him and his teammates and lamented the lack of chances offered in a series of tweets directed at Indian cricket Selectors.
To add to his woes, the Saurashtra batsman was also ignored for the Duleep trophy this year. It can be very hard to motivate yourself when you’re not seeing results and Sheldon Jackson seemed pretty hurt over the snub.
The batsman received support in plenty from the fans who backed him and supported him. Even his fellow cricketers joined in. However, the situation did not remain as wholesome as a fan used the moment to direct criticism towards India Cricketer KL Rahul.

A fan, if you can even call him that, asked Sheldon Jackson to develop a friendship with Anushka Sharma, the wife of Indian Skipper Virat Kohli. He cited the example of KL Rahul, bizarrely hinting that doing so would put him in Kohli’s good books and would result in a berth in the Indian team.
Sheldon Jackson did not let the matter slide. Instead he chose to respond and nip the disgraceful opinion at the bud itself.
Well said Jackson. Social Media has given people a lot of voice. Many of whom, use it to bring disruption and malice in the name of being a troll. It is pleasing to see an active cricketer take a stance on the matter and put the offender in his place.
