SL vs IND Dream11 Team Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today World Cup match | Sri Lanka vs India as TSR helps you with Dream 11.

The 44th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played between Sri Lanka and India at Headingley tomorrow. The last match of the league stage for both these teams will be  dead-rubber as far as the overall tournament is concerned.

The primary reason why this match will be watched is it has it in to change the standings of the Top Four. An Indian victory will increase their chances of finishing as the top-ranked team in the World Cup. If the same happens, it will also affect the semi-finals of the tournament.

SL vs IND Dream11 Team Prediction

Wicket-keepers for SL vs IND Dream 11

I have selected a couple of wicket-keeper batsmen for this match. Having scored 255 runs in six matches at an average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 109.91 including three half-centuries, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera is their highest run-scorer in the tournament and easily finds a position in this team.

India’s Rishabh Pant has impressed one and all in his two ODI outings till now. Having scored 32 and 48, today might just be the day when Pant crossed the 50-run mark for the first time in ODIs.

Batsmen for SL vs IND Dream 11

Much like Pant (actually even better), a Sri Lankan batsman who has done exceedingly well is their No. 3 in Avishka Fernando. Having scored his maiden ODI century against West Indies in the last match, Fernando finally converted his start into a milestone. Hence, I am continuing to back him for this match. Get him in!

Among the other batsmen, I have selected India’s Top Three in opening batsman Lokesh Rahul, vice-captain Rohit Sharma and captain Virat Kohli. With Pant already in my squad, I effectively have India’s Top Four now. Whosoever scores big among them is likely to fetch me significant points.

Sharma, highest run-scorer in the tournament so far, has scored 544 runs in seven matches at an average of 90.66 and a strike rate of 96.96 including four centuries and a half-century. In 45 ODIs against Sri Lanka, Sharma has scored 1,562 runs at an average of 44.62 and a strike rate of 92.31 including five centuries and five half-centuries.

With 408 runs in seven matches at an average of 58.28 and a strike rate of 96.22 including five half-centuries, Kohli has been India’s second-best batsman so far. Facing Sri Lanka, Kohli has scored 2,186 runs in 46 ODIs at an average of 59.08 and a strike rate of 90.74 including eight centuries and 11 half-centuries.

All-rounders for SL vs IND Dream 11

My only all-rounder for this match is India’s Hardik Pandya. Despite been shuffled up and down the order, the Indian cricketer has batted with responsibility in the tournament till now. What has been a revelation for India is Pandya’s bowling form, which is another major reason behind picking him.

Bowlers for SL vs IND Dream 11

Included as a replacement for the injured Nuwan Pradeep, Kasun Rajitha might have been expensive in the first match but has the potential of taking wickets. I have also included veteran Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga. Having picked 12 wickets in six matches at an average of 24.25, an economy rate of 5.63 and a strike rate of 25.8, Malinga is Sri Lanka’s highest wicket-taker in the tourney by some distance.

The Indian duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami also find a place in my Dream11 fantasy team for this match. Both of them taking wickets with both the new ball and the old, expect them to yield positive results this time as well.

It is worth mentioning that both Bumrah and Shami have dismissed 14 batsmen each in this tournament. While Bumrah’s wickets have come in seven matches at an average of 21.07, an economy rate of 4.60 and a strike rate of 27.4, Shami had picked the same number of wickets in just four matches at an average of 13.78, an economy rate of 5.48 and a strike rate of 15.
