SOM vs KET Dream11 Team Prediction : Kent Spitfires vs Somerset T20 Vitality Blast Best Dream 11 Team

SOM vs KET Dream11 Team: Somerset look to make it two wins on the bounce when they travel to Kent Spitfires today

Coming off a sensational run chase against Glamorgan in their league opener, Somerset take on Kent Spitfires immensely buoyed by that successful result today. They are up against opponent who are the only side to yet feature in the 2019 edition of the Vitality Blast from the South Zone.

For Somerset, their league opener couldn’t have shaped up in a better manner. Playing on surface cut from the same cloth as some of the best pitches in the world for batting, Somerset managed to prevail as they went in pursuit of 181. Taking on a Glamorgan total which looked set to be a tricky proposition for them, the 8 wicket win in just 18 overs bespoke the massive quality of their squad.

There were contributions from the entire top 3 with the opening stand putting on 98 runs before Tom Banton wrapped up proceedings to get them past the finishing with his 34 ball 64 run innings. And the side will be looking to build on the immense momentum garnered from that sensational win, an incredible result which puts them in good stead ahead of today’s second and culminating match.

Elsewhere for their opponents Kent Spitfires, this match is the first time they’ll be taking to the middle in the marquee tournament as they look to finally get underway with their campaign in the league. Despite not being packed with internationals star performers, the side have in their artillery an extremely strong base of domestic stalwarts, players who have become the patrons of their rampant success in the County Championship Division 2.

 Probable Winner

After their sunning run chase against Glamorgan, we are going to side with Somerset for this one. They share the same identity as Kent, relying majorly on English players to help craft the framework of success for them and it’s their batting order which should see them emerge from this one as the winners.

Expect this to be a match where the runs pour by, coming in at an extremely fast rate to revel us in some delightful innings. At the end of the 3 hours, Somerset should just about edge out their opponents in a match which is set to be an edge of the seat thriller.

Wicket-Keeper for SOM vs KET Dream11

After his incredible knock of 64, Somerset wicket-keeper Tom Banton is our first selection into our Dream 11 side. It was a sensational innings from the batsmen, one who was undeterred by anything thrown his way and we see him emanating the same form today as well.

We are also going to opt for Kent Spitfires’ man with the gloves, Sam Billings for this one.

Batting Order for SOM vs KET Dream11

With 35 and 47 in the previous fixture respectively, Babar Azam and Peter Trego both come in for us. The two man partnership is a formidable one, one which is bound to thwart anything thrown at them by Somerset and put on a foundation for the rest of the middle-order to come and build around.

From Kent it’s the solitary player that comes in but a name enough to carry the onus of delivering an incisive performance for his side single-handidly. Number 4 batsmen Daniel Bell Drummond enters the fray of our Dream 11 side given his effervescent displays recently for the outfit.

All-Rounders for SOM vs KET Dream11

This is where Kent finally out edge Somerset with the side having two names we would have been foolhardy to ignore. In  Joe Denly and Mohammed Nabi we have two names who are incredible players, performers who seamlessly blend in function with grace to encapsulate both the departments of the game to pinch perfection.

After his two wickets against Glamorgan, Somerset’s all-rounder Roelof Van Der Merwe makes an entry into our side.

Bowling Order for SOM vs KET Dream11

Harry Podmore and Grant Stewart are our two picks from Kent given that the two ply their goods at a time when Somerset would be looking to send the ball to the stands. These two are known for their ability to mix up deliveries, something which could see them snare up a handful of scalps to their name.

Pacer Craig Overturn from Somerset wraps up our Dream 11 side for this match.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We have gone ahead with Joe Denly as our captain for today’s final match while Azam is the vice-captain.
