Anyone who has religiously been following the NBA for the past few years must have definitely heard the name LiAngelo Ball. LiAngelo is the middle brother of the Ball family, who just like Lonzo and LaMelo has been playing the sport ever since he could walk.
For the past few years, Gelo has been hoping to make it to the league. During his UCLA days, his shoplifting scandal in China led the Bruins to suspend him indefinitely, affecting his draft stock. Ball even declared for the 2018 NBA Draft but went undrafted. And now, after years of being cast aside by the league, LiAngelo finally has a legit shot at making it to the pros.
Charlotte Hornets first invited the 22-year-old to their offseason training camp and then announced his selection in their Summer League roster. And it is safe to say that Gelo has been making full use of this golden opportunity given to him.
The 6-foot-5 shooter has been averaging a modest 11.3 points in the three Summer League games so far, shooting an efficient 44.4% from the field while coming off the bench. And on Thursday, Ball had one of the wildest plays of the entire tournament, leaving everybody in shock.

Even though LiAngelo has been pretty great during these Summer League games, he will have to top a notch to reserve a spot on an NBA or even G-League roster, during Charlotte’s last game on Saturday.
