Patrick Mahomes was born on 17th September 1995 in Tyler, Texas to Randi Martin and Pat Mahomes, who is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He is also the godson of LaTroy Hawkins, who was teammates with his father at the Minnesota Twins. Mahomes also has a younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, who is a social media influencer and is five years younger than the star NFL QB. The two brothers attended the Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. While in High School, Patrick Mahomes played football, basketball, and baseball making him a multi-faceted athlete, which admittedly helped him become better as a quarterback. As a freshman at Texas Tech, Patrick Mahomes started as a backup to Davis Webb. It was against Oklahoma State when Webb got injured giving Mahomes a chance to start off his college career. Patrick started the last three games of the season when Webb hurt himself again. That season Mahomes played seven games throwing for 1,547 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.
