How to Play Chamber in Valorant? A Short and Sweet Guide
Chamber has been nerfed to the ground. The agent no longer has two teleports which saved him and increased the range of the teleport. Now he only has one anchor and the range isn’t much. Chamber previously had a global presence on the map, now even his alarm bot has a range. However, he still is viable if you are just holding a site.
His abilities have been nerfed but still holds a lot of power. Let us break down every ability we need to know about this agent.
Ability Analysis: Trademark (C)
The trademark ability can hold an angle you cannot hold it on your own. When you place it down, it has a little cool down after which it activates. If it does not break, you can reclaim and it will be available again after a short cooldown. When the enemies activate the trap, the enemies will be slowed.
The trigger alerts the whole team as well so you know someone is on the flank. To make the most of it, place it down in a place that prevents the enemy from flanking you. Suppose on bind you are holding hookah, place your trap down near the teleporter of the site so you can safely hold the angles without getting flanked and killed. On attack, make sure you place it in a spot close to the area you are holding so the trap does not deactivate and enemies cannot get by.
Ability Analysis: Headhunter (Q)
There is not much to say about this ability. It is a sheriff with the ability to Aim Down the Sites. It had a faster pull-out and fire rate before the nerf but now it acts as a standard sheriff. A tip here we can give you is that do not buy bullets unless you really need them or have good aim.
Do not buy the Headhunter bullets in the pistol round. However, you can invest in the bullets in eco rounds and bonus rounds before fully buying a gun. Pair this up with the Tour De Force to create a lethal combination of stopping power.
Ability Analysis: Rendevous (E)
The teleport is used to get away to a safe spot. The range has been reduced severely. However, there are still viable things you can do with it. Make sure you hold off angles and not standard ones where enemies will be already pre-aiming. Get away if you think your chances of winning are less or if you spot more than one enemy. It is better to live rather than respawn the next round.
Ability Analysis: Tour De Force
This used to be one of the most overpowered ultimates in the game. Now it is a standard Operator with a few perks. Pair this up with the Teleport and the Trademark and you got yourself the ultimate kit to hold a site. When you set up on an off angle, ensure that you are scoped in on a wider angle so that even if the enemy wide swings you can adjust and take them out.
Alternatively, you can take a shot, teleport away and your teammates can use that distraction to pick up a kill. This weapon can be an effective secondary to your primary. Use the Operator, TP away, and then switch to your primary to take on the enemies rushing you.
Tips and Tricks for Playing Chamber in Valorant
Here are a couple of tips and tricks you can utilize to play better with this agent. Let us quickly list them out.
- Buy for the team in Eco Rounds. You can use your Headhunter and that can be quite lethal. Use your Headhunter bullets and buy for your teammates. This tip works even better if you have your Tour De Force.
- Teleport on top of boxes or other top-of-the-site areas which create unique angles where the enemies won’t expect you to be.
- Be aggressive on both sides. You have the ability to take a peek and get out even if you do not get a kill. That ability makes it worth playing your life because Valorant is all an information game.
- You can use your teleport to set up your teammates or duelists to take a peek. Venture out towards an open angle, spot enemies, TP out, relay that information, and tell your duelists to take a fight immediately.
- OP if you can. If you can buy the Operator and hold down a site, it will take the pressure off of your teammates. Make sure you can always buy an Operator when you can.
