Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on Trinbago Knight Riders in the first Match of CPL 2020 aka Caribbean Premier League which will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in the Trinidad. The T20 cricket is finally back on the T20 land of the Caribbean after the COVID-19 heartbreak.
Trinbago Knight Riders will be led by Keiron Pollard who was brilliant in the last edition of CPL as well. This side boasts some star players such DJ Bravo, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, etc, and will be looking to get their 4th CPL title. Trinbago looks settled in all aspects and would want to start with a bang.
Guyana Amazon Warriors, on the other hand, are the unluckiest team of the CPL. They have been to the final for the maximum number of times and still have not won the trophy yet. Warriors won all of their games last season apart from the Finals. He will be match-winner at the number 3 spot whereas King was the highest run-scorer of the CPL 2019 and would like to repeat his heroics this time too. Both of them are the core of Guyana’s batting and will be picked for this game.

Tahir was the highest wicket-taker of the Guyana side in CPL 2019 and was the leading wicket-taker of IPL 2019 as well. He is a genuine wicket-taker and cannot be dropped whereas Shephard is the leading fast bowler of the side and picked 13 CPL wickets last season. Both of them will be great to have in the squad.
