When RCB stepped into this match, they needed 4 wins off 4 games to still have a chance of making it to the Playoffs. They have put their best foot forward ably led by their batting mainstays Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

Batting first, Dehi Daredevils was denied a good start by Yuzvendra Chahal who dismissed both Prithvi Shaw and Jason Roy in quick succession. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant then steadied the Delhi innings. Pant started from where he had left in the last match. With a strike rate of a shade under 180, Pant (61) infused some life into the bland-looking DD batting.
Still, it looked as if DD would only manage around 160 but it was late flourish from U-19 star Abhishek Sharma that did the trick for DD. He scored 46 runs off 19 balls to take DD to 181.
RCB’s new plan of sending Moeen Ali at the top did not work for them as he was dismissed early. It was left to the trustworthy pair of Virat Kohli and AB de Viiliers to seal the match. They came up with a 118-run partnership to make matters comfortable for Bangalore.
Although Kohli could not finish the game, he took them to the doorsteps of victory with a 70 run knock. ABD sealed the game with an unbeaten 72.
Twitter just could not handle their brilliance as it was flooded with applause.
