Twitter reactions on Arsenal’s win: Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a crucial 2-0 victory over Chelsea.
After many weeks of inconsistent performances, Arsenal finally regained momentum as they defeated Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League earlier today.
The side also reclaimed the fifth position after briefly losing to Manchester United who emerged 2-1 winners against Brighton earlier today.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the goalscoring for Arsenal in the first half as the Frenchman scored with a world-class finish from a difficult angle.
Laurent Koscielny doubled the lead at the brink of halftime as Arsenal strengthened their position in the game.
In the second half, Arsenal’s attack continued to create troubles for Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri’s side hardly looked like scoring throughout the match.
With this win, Arsenal have moved three points closer to Chelsea, and are back to level on points with Manchester United. The top four race has become intense as all the three sides are within the distance of three points.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the game:
Arsenal deservedly ahead. Super piece of forward play by Lacazette. Lack of anything so far from Chelsea.

We couldn’t even hurt a shit defence like Arsenal. This scoring problem is deep.

For the first time under Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have failed to have a single shot on target in the first half of Premier League game.
Arsenal (and the post) the team to make it happen. 😬 pic.twitter.com/8fW8VNEmBn

20 – Laurent Koscielny has scored in each of his nine seasons in the Premier League and is the first Arsenal defender to net 20 goals in the competition. Stalwart. pic.twitter.com/HfixpFAvh9

Still getting used to Koscielny’s hair. Man looks like he’s 17

Sokratis shinned half volley cross to Koscielny, who misses the header and shoulders it in to the net. Real shithouse football from us and I love it.

Cheeky Giroud smile on the bench when Koscielny scored.
You can take Giroud out of Arsenal but you can’t take Arsenal out of Giroud.
Ha!
— Danny Welbeck (@WellBeast) January 19, 2019
Sokratis with kung fu assist and Koscielny scores with his shoulder. Chelsea is a banter club.
— Lacazettes (@Lacazettes) January 19, 2019
That’s the second time Koscielny has been left unmarked for a free header. Chelsea defending like Arsenal did at Anfield…

Sokratis and Koscielny have been immense but Koscielny just shades it for motm. Rolled back the years tonight.
