Twitter reactions on MS Dhoni's catch to dismiss Hemraj

Twitter reactions on MS Dhoni’s catch to dismiss Hemraj: Twitter was exhilarated on watching Dhoni grab a stunning catch against Windies.

After being dropped from the T20I squad for the series against Windies and Australia last night, former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni was in news again after he grabbed a stunning catch to dismiss Windies’ opening batsman in Chanderpaul Hemraj.

It happened on the penultimate delivery of the sixth over when the batman’s effort of playing a pull shot against Jasprit Bumrah saw him top-edging the ball high in the air towards the backward square leg region.

Quick on his feat, Dhoni, 37, sprinted from his position to put on display a desperate dive which saw him catching the ball in an outstanding manner. Dhoni’s catch ended Hemraj’s innings, who ended up scoring 15 (20) with the help of two fours and a six.

Dhoni’s effort saw India making the early inroads into the Windies’ batting line-up. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah back in the squad, India had not let the opposition batsmen fly away in the first powerplay.

Dhoni’s ardent fan base, which was disappointed last night on learning that Dhoni has been dropped from the T20I team, was overjoyed after watching him take such a catch. Read some of the latest Twitter reactions below:
