Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli's 25th Test century

Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli’s 25th Test century: Twitter was exhilarated on Virat Kohli’s magnificent Test hundred at Perth.

During the third day of the second Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Perth, India captain Virat Kohli smashed yet another Test century, his 25th in Tests, 14th away from home. Having scored his 25th century in 127 innings, Kohli has become the second-fastest cricketer to do so, only behind Sir Donald Bradman.

It was another of those innings where Kohli stood tall on the expectations for the umpteenth time in his career. Coming in to bat at 8-2 in the sixth over, Kohli eased the nerves first up by hitting four boundaries off Australia vice-captain Josh Hazlewood.

After taking on the attack on the opposition bowlers, Kohli pressed down the accelerator citing the conditions and the quality of the bowling on display yesterday. Kohli stitched a 74-run partnership for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara (24) as the duo removed the shine off the ball.

With Pujara getting out in the 39th over, Kohli continued to battle it out in the middle. With a boundary over gully off Pat Cummins, Kohli completed his 20th half-century on the third ball of the 44th over.

The Indian captain then stitched a 91-run partnership with vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane (51). With Rahane getting out on the fourth ball of the day, the onus was once again on Kohli, who didn’t disappoint his team and fans.

Resuming the day on 82*, Kohli didn’t take much long before completing his feat.On the second delivery of the 81st over, Kohli hit a straight drive off Mitchell Starc to reach the three-figure mark.

Kohli’s innings was accepted very well on social media platform Twitter. Read some of the latest Twitter reactions on the same below:
