WATCH: Anushka Sharma asks signal for four during Sri Lanka-India match; leaves Twitter in splits

Anushka Sharma asks signal for four: The Bollywood actress’ gesture became a source of entertainment for her fans.

India dominated Sri Lanka in all possible departments yesterday. The fall of early wickets for Sri Lanka took down what was their chance of getting a high score. However, Angelo Mathews stepped up for his team and scored a ton, taking the team total to 260.

The team had previously defended a total of 232 vs England and were a threat this time, too. However, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul stepped up, both scoring a century each. Sharma’s century saw him drawing level with the great Sachin Tendulkar as the batsman with the most centuries (6) in World Cups.

Renowned Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma traveled to Leeds to cheer for husband Virat Kohli and the team during India’s their last group stage match against Sri Lanka yesterday. She was seen sitting in the stands near the dressing room during the game yesterday.

Apparently, the Bollywood star had arrived in England mid-June, but wasn’t seen in any of the previous games. Some photos of her visit went viral during this time around, including one with Kohli on Old Bond Street in London.

While Anushka cheered the Men In Blue, her husband scored an 34* to seal the chase for India. Yesterday’s match was cut to the stands during over changes, breaks and other time outs. It was around this time people noticed Anushka cheering for the team, celebrating boundaries and wickets.

The camera also captured the 31-year old bantering with one of her friends in the crowd, saying, “What is this signal for four?” before performing the action and then laughing with joy.
