A moment of misunderstanding resulted in a dreadful run-out dismissal for Cheteshwar Pujara.
India finds itself in a difficult situation as the team struggles as 15-3 before rain hit the match again at Lord’s.

The team began from 10-2 after the first rain delay of the match, but received a blow seconds before rain poured down over Lord’s. Pujara, who was looking relatively solid on the pitch, suffered in a horrible mix-up with Virat Kohli.
Pujara tapped a straight ball towards the point, and ran after Kohli’s response. The Indian captain, however, stopped midway which left Cheteshwar Pujara stranded on the pitch with over half of the distance already covered. The India’s number three could do nothing but stand in horror as India lost their third wicket within the first ten overs.
After the run-out, there were a lot of angry reactions on Twitter. Take a look –
You two seriously looking for a quick single there? Bloody going to rain in like 3 seconds, man

You really really don’t want to be Pujara just now……
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) August 10, 2018
WTF? Pujara is run out once again. Kohli sold him down the river there.

Disaster…. Pujara sold off in the middle of pitch by Kohli… and that shower has hit us…. 12 balls… and India did a favour to England there. #EngvInd

Though, this was not the boat’s fault. This run out was squarely Kohli’s fault. Kohli committed to the run and left Pujara hanging…

Cheteshwar ul Haq. #ENGvIND

So, they stoped play. Then returned. Played one ball. Where Pujara got run out. And went off again.
Kohli was at fault for the run out. But its hard to blame anyone. Its impossible to play in this ridiculous stop-start weather.

Question is, why do you attempt sharp singles when you have had multiple knee operations?
And it’s not like it’s a limited overs game either— if Shrikant,who can? (@HomerOpines) August 10, 2018
A feature of Pujara is that while he’s at the wicket, you’ll tend to see fielders throwing to whichever end he’s running.

Hahaha Pujara. Sorry, this is dark comedy.

After Pujara got run out they all run out #ENGvIND

Most times runout in Test cricket since Pujara’s debut:
7 – CHETESHWAR PUJARA
5 – Rangana Herath / Ross Taylor
4 – Hashim Amla / Azhar Ali#ENGvIND— Sampath Bandarupalli (@SampathStats) August 10, 2018
Kohli took off, Pujara ran further and then Kohli turns his back. Horrific feeling, that.
— Nikhil 🏏 (@CricCrazyNIKS) August 10, 2018
If you are an Indian batsman today, you’d think the world had conspired against you. And if you are Pujara, it would feel even worse
— Sambit Bal (@sambitbal) August 10, 2018
Bad call to run, right call to then try and save his wicket. If there is any batsman who can save India here, it is him. Can run the entire team out if he wants to.

Summed Up the day for India thus far…. #Pujara #RunOut #EngvInd
