Twitter reacts as Vettel crashes out of German GP and Hamilton wins it

The German GP had had its share of drama in qualifying when Hamilton crashed out in Q1 due to a hydraulic issue.

As a result of that, Hamilton started from 14th position on the grid and was working his way up all through the race.

Rain was always in forecast for today’s race, but you couldn’t really determine as to when and with what kind of frequency would it come down.

Hamilton had opted for a 1 stop strategy, trying to take his soft tyres deep into the race and probably hoping for rain to come down at the exact moment when he needed to come into the pits.

However, that did not happen and the rain made an intermittent appearance, not really coming down hard but staying there and troubling the drivers enough.

Vettel made a mistake in rain conditions and threw away a victory in his home grand prix as he crashed out.

Hamilton was then pushed into the lead and managed to hold on until the end to win the German GP, with Bottas in second and Raikkonen completing the 3rd podium place.
