The Indian Premier League has seen many great things over the last decade but today was first for even its most ardent fans. Samuel Badree and Andrew Tye were the heroes for their teams today as the IPL witnesses TWO hattricks on the same day for the very first time.
Samuel Badree was the first one as his hat trick turned the match in favor of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. But it was in vain as Keiron Pollard powered Mumbai to a crucial victory in Bangalore. It was a crucial match for both MI and RCB as both teams needed a win to gather some momentum in the tournament.
Badree’s hat trick was the first one of this year’s IPL. But incredibly it was followed by another one in the next match just a few hours later.

Andrew Tye was the next hat trick hero of the day as his five wicket haul won the match for the Gujarat Lions. This was a crucial match for Gujarat as they desperately needed a win to kick start their campaign. Luckily for them Tye was in inspired form as he ripped through the Rising Pune Super Giants team as Gujarat battered Pune.
