Paddy Pimblett has been dubbed the next Conor McGregor by none other than Dana White. He is set to face Jared Gordon at UFC 282 and this will be his fourth fight in the UFC. If he wins, Pimblett will be on his way to the top of the lightweight division. While a title fight is still a few paces away, a win here will certainly cement his position as one of the top contenders in the lightweight division.
However, Pimblett’s MMA record is not pristine, he has had a few losses in MMA. Let’s have a look at his losses.
When Did Paddy Pimblett Lose an MMA Fight?
Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has had three losses in MMA so far. The losses came in another promotion called Cage Warriors Promotion with two coming in decisions and one via submissions.
His first loss was to Cameron Else at the CWFC 60 via submission in 35 seconds of the first round. Following this loss, Pimblett went on to win nine fights before losing to Narimani at CWFC 82. He lost his featherweight title in this bout via unanimous decision.
After this fight, Pimblett moved to lightweight and won 1 fight to face the champion, Soren Bak. He lost this fight via decision. He had two fights in CWFC after that and moved to the UFC. He has had three fights, all wins in the UFC, and will be making on Jared Gordon after that.
Has Paddy Pimblett Spoken About his Fight with Jared Gordon?
Paddy Pimblett has been pretty laid back about his fight with Gordon. He spoke extensively about his training camp in a vlog and mentioned at the end that Gordon will go down in the first round. The lightweight division is arguably the most stacked in the UFC and therefore the world.
We have names like Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, current champ Islam Makhachev, Charles Oliveira and others in this division.
Plus, Conor McGregor will most probably return to the UFC in 2023. So, there’s a lot of competition Pimblett will need to chomp through to get to the top. UFC 282 is set for Dec 10 at the T-Mobile Arena and will be available on the UFC mobile app and ESPN.
